PUKKA-J'S SOLUTION TO PET/CT REPORTING AS ‘EASY AS BROWSING THE WEB'

“You can now bookmark PET/CT Reporting in your Web favourites”. This claim is made by Pukka-J regarding its latest software release for PET/CT tele-reporting. The Company took a familiar web-style format known to everyone via internet banking, shopping and browsing, and designed a software application for PET/CT reporting using a web page created specifically for functional imaging review.

As simple as internet shopping, clinicians can simply log-on from the comfort of their home, and access feature rich tools for MPR (Multi Planar Reformatting) of raw axial data with MIP (Maximum Intensity Projection), and ‘point-and-click' triangulation on any image – all calculated on-the-fly, in the actual web-page. A choice can be made from different colour tables, blend fusion mode with adjustable PET and CT ratio, synchronised image scrolling, window and level presets, plus the display of Hounsfield unit measurements for CT.

This latest release of Pukka-J's Dicom Explorer 4.6.2 internet diagnostic viewing application has been designed for tomorrow's specification. It includes a secure method for PET/CT tele-reporting services using the latest techniques for PKI, SSL, cryptography and encryption. Clinicians can review diagnostic quality images sent from the department, hospital or beyond, subject to the receiving PC and display monitor conforming to correct reporting specification. Distributing large data sets of PET/CT over the internet can be unbelievably quick and just requires broadband connectivity to be upgraded to a 2Mb download. Basically, the faster the connection, the more powerful will be the performance.

Highly interoperable, the web page features a powerful connectivity DICOM tool that can be easily fine tuned by system users or Pukka-J engineers to integrate seamlessly to any new or existing hospital PACS, RIS or CTS workflow. Proven capability, the web-page is validated with the latest PET/CT devices from GE, Philips and Siemens.

Pukka-J's pioneering software Dicom Explorer has come to be recognised as a powerful, yet cost-effective, application for viewing, reporting, archiving and managing all DICOM images of any modality. In addition to the standard products, the Company has the capability to develop bespoke solutions to meet precise requirements.
