Pukka-J is a Java technology, medical imaging, software development company For the past 18 years Kevin Wilson, MD and founder of Pukka J has engineered radiology software and integration systems for 150 hospital sites all over the World. Pukka-J was formed for the express purpose of providing state-of-the-art Internet software and support services to the radiology market place.
Our philosophy is to evolve medical imaging applications as web based solutions. Development of our software products is an on-going process combining the latest advances in computing and medicine.We are highly committed to providing the very best radiology software packages available.
Pukka-J's innovative software product is Dicom Explorer a complete Teleradiology & Picture Archiving & Communications System.
Kevin Wilson, inventor of Dicom Explorer, graduated as a physicist from Imperial College, London. He held a 3 year post as the physicist with the British Antarctic Survey. Returning from Antarctica he started his career as a software engineer for medical imaging and has designed bespoke software applications for the Ministry of Defence, Link Analytical, Oxford Instruments, Gresham Scientific Instruments and Link Medical. Creating Java applications since 1997, he is an expert in his field and regularly contributes to the following societies:
